Fall Co-Ed Varsity Cheer Tryouts
3-Day Requirements
**1st Prelims: Everyone Required to Attend
Tuesday, April 29th
6:30- 8:30 p.m.
Coffin Complex/ Cardio Room/Gym
*Will learn tryout cheer; chant
*Will also receive all paperwork/requirements for Varsity Squad
**2nd Prelims: Everyone Required To Attend
Thursday, May 1st
6:30- 8:30 p.m.
Coffin Complex/Cardio Room/Gym
*Candidates will do three more stunts with different partners at tryouts. The three stunts will be announced this night and the stunts the coach will choose from are listed below:
Partner Stunts:

Hands to extension, liberty, heel-stretch, arabesque, cupie

Walk-up to hands, extension, liberty, heel-stretch, arabesque, cupie
Group stunts:
-
Extension, liberty, heel-stretch, arabesque, cupie
-
Single or double-twisting cradle from extension; heel-stretch or arabesque.

Basket Toss
*Tumbling:
*(Optional but worth additional points toward individual score at tryouts)
**FINAL DAY OF TRYOUTS:
Saturday, May 3rd

What will take place at final selection? A panel of 3 - 5 judges will make the final selection based on the desired skills. The coaches reserve the right to add anyone to the roster based on potential.
What to Wear at Tryouts
**Required at both evenings and the day of tryouts:
Ladies: The only colors accepted for any part of your appearance are: purple, white, and/or black. You need to be dressed in snug shorts, a snug top (sport tank, sport bra). You need to wear make-up, clean court shoes, plain white footie socks, and a bow in your hair that is half up and in big curls. Absolutely no jewelry. Absolutely no other university or college may be visible anywhere on your clothing.
Men: The only colors accepted for any part of your appearance are: purple, white, and/or black. Your shirt needs to be a tee and will be tucked in. You shirt needs to fit snuggly. Clean court shoes and plain white socks. Absolutley no other university or college may be visible anywhere on your clothing.
*Note that these requirements are for safety reasons, and also note that a small part of your score in finals is "Overall Image," so it's in your best interest to look game-ready.
Plan to arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. to warm-up/review
Absolutely no jewelry - DON'T EVEN WALK IN WITH JEWELRY IN/ON.

Cheerleaders
The Haskell Indian Nations University Cheerleaders pride
themselves in being one of the most enthusiastic and outgoing groups
at the University. They are among Haskell’s most visible student
organizations and feature a solid core of campus leaders.
The Haskell Cheerleaders are active throughout the entire
school year, attending and performing at most of the University's
home athletic events while also traveling to many of the road
contests. Additionally, the Haskell Cheerleaders reach out to the youth by providing the "Lil Allstars Cheer Camp" which is a great way to get the kids involved!
