MEET INFORMATION
Meet Directors: Albert Gipp, Jr. & Steve Heffernan
Where: Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence, Kansas
Cross Country Course is located on campus; off 23rd Street & Massachusetts Street.
When: Saturday, October 10, 2009
Race time(s): College: Women (5K) – 8:30 a.m., Men (8K) – 9:15 a.m.
HS: Girls (4K) – 10:00 a.m., Boys (5K) - 10:30 a.m.
HS: JV Girls (2 Mi.) – 11:00 a.m., JV Boys (5K)- 11:20 a.m.
HS: C Team (2 Mi.) – 11:40 a.m., C Team Boys (2 Mi)- 12 p.m.
Course: Gentle rolling hills. It is a very fast course and easy to follow and a good spectator course.
Entry Fee: Collegiate Teams - $60.00 High School Teams - $40
Men/boys and Women/girls are separate teams.
Unattached/open collegiate runners will be charged a $20 entry fee. Individual high school athletes will be charged $10 entry fee.
No cost for High School JV or C Teams.

Entry Deadline: Saturday, October 3, 2009: Entries should be emailed to Mike Spielman at mspielman@usd348.com . High school coaches do NOT need to list Varsity or JV. Please list all runners who may run in the meet and their grade level.
Awards: College Division: Team Champions and Individual Awards (15) for the College Divisions presented at the conclusion of the college men’s race. Open Unattached/Open collegiate runners will receive medals for top three finishers in each division.
High School Division: Team Champions and Individual Awards (20) for the top 20 finishers. Individual awards will be presented to the top 20 finishers in the JV & C team races, no team awards.
Packet Pickup: You may pick up your packets at 7:30 a.m. at the course.
Numbers: All participants must wear their bib numbers on the front of their jerseys. Do not pin the bottom section of the bib that pulls off. This will be removed at the chute.
Parking: Please adhere to designated parking.
Buses – Please park in southeast Perimeter Rd.
Vans – Please park in the designated lots.
Trainers: Will be available at the meet site in a tent located near the finish line. Trainers are being provided by Free State High School.
Facilities: Directions to Haskell can be found on the university website at www.haskell.edu – click the link – “About Haskell”, which will list at the bottom – maps and directions.
Results: Meet Results will be available soon after the high school awards.
Chute procedure and Scoring:
Coaches & Athletes – Note chute procedure for scoring:
1. You may enter more than seven (7) runners, but only the top seven finishers will figure in team scoring.
2. All participants must enter chute.
3. All participants’ bib numbers will be recorded in the chute.
4. Each participant must stay in the chute until the number has been recorded.
5. Unofficial results will be posted soon after each race.
