New and Transfer Students
2008 Spring Schedule
Saturday, January 5th
8:00 AM Osceola/Keokuk Hall opens for all new freshmen.
Pocahontas Hall opens for all new transfer students.
9:00 - 4:00 PM
Step 1 New & transfer students check in at the registration table in Navarre Hall.
Step 2 Complete fee payment process (NO Personal Checks Accepted).
Steps 3 thru 8 in room 137 of Navarre Hall
Step 3 Visit the Mail Center table for a PO Box.
Step 4 Off campus students visit the Off Campus information table.
Step 5 Visit the Financial Aid information table or the Financial Aid Office, 
located in Stidham Hall, will be open for business from 10 - 2 PM.
Step 6 Register your vehicle and get a Haskell sticker (must show paid receipt).
Step 7 Get your Haskell ID (must show paid receipt).
Step 8 Get your Haskell email account and password (must show Haskell ID).
10:00 AM Parent Orientation sponsored by the Housing Department at Curtis Hall.
10:00 -12:00 PM Brunch - Curtis Hall (meal schedule will be the same thru Tuesday).
2:30 PM
Step 9 Welcome by the President at the Auditorium.
3:00 PM Math Testing (only for students accepted with no ACT scores) Sequoyah Hall
Rm 104.  Questions contact Gabe Begaye at (785) 830-2738.
4:00 - 6:00 PM Dinner - Curtis Hall (meal schedule will be the same thru Tuesday).
6:30 PM
Step 10 "Making College Count" sponsored by the Counseling Center at the Auditorium.   
Sunday, January 6th
10:00 - 12:00 PM
NOTE: New and transfer students arriving late, complete steps 1 thru 4 and 6.
Step 5 will continue in the Financial Aid Office located in Stidham Hall 
from 12 PM - 3 PM.  Step 7 will continue on Wednesday, January 9th, in 
Pontiac Hall - Rm 112 from 9 AM - 12 PM  and 1 PM - 5 PM.
Step 11 "Prep Sessions" an overview of the enrollment process.  Sessions 
will be held in Ross Hall.  Check in 10 minutes prior to start time.
         1:45 - 2:45 PM  students with last names M - Z
         3:00 - 4:15 PM students with last names A-L.
Monday, January 7th
9:30 AM
Step 12 AKIS survey by the Registrar's Office at the Auditorium.
1:30 PM
Step 13 "How To Survive Haskell" sponsored by the Counseling Center at the Auditorium.
Get the scoop from Haskell staff, faculty, and student facilitators.
Tuesday, January 8th
8:30 AM
Step 14 New & transfer students check in at the registration table in Navarre Hall,
enter from the north entrance.  
Step 15 Meet with an advisor to complete your class schedule.  Advisors are in their
assigned offices until 4 PM:  Ross Hall, PontiacHall, Parker Hall, Sequoyah
Hall, Blue Eagle and Kiva Hall.
Step 16 Take your completed class schedule to an encoder located in one of the
following buildings:  Ross Hall, Parker Hall, or Blue Eagle.  Your classes 
will be encoded, an "official" class schedule will be issued.
Step 17 Take your "official" class schedule and student ID to the library and get your books.
6:30 PM
Step 18 "Highlight Night" sponsored by the Student Activities Department at Tecumseh Hall.
Come learn about the clubs & organizations at Haskell, and how to get involved.
Wednesday, January 9th
Classes Begin - Have a good semester!
Add/Drop begins - must have advisor's signature (No Exceptions).
Late registration begins - a $30 late fee will be assessed.
NOTE: Regular meal schedule begins today - ID required.
7:00 - 9:30 AM Breakfast
11:00 - 1:00 PM Lunch
4:00 - 7:00 PM Dinner
Thursday, January 10th
4:00 PM Add/drop and late registration ends.
