Health, Sport, and Exercise Science
Welcome to the Health, Sport and Exercise Science Department at Haskell Indian Nations University. The HSES Department is glad to be part of your experience and education as you prepare to go into a fun and exciting career. We offer an Associate of Science Degrees in HSES with an Emphasis in Community Health, or Recreation and Fitness Management. Our courses are taught by qualified instructors who have many years of teaching in the field of HSES from several different backgrounds. With these degrees a student will be prepared to move onto a course of study for a Bachelors Degree at another university, or to join the workforce at an entry level position in one of the areas of Health, Sport or Exercise Science.
Our faculty is also involved in the Intercollegiate Athletics Department as Coaches for different Varsity Sports. This connection enhances our HSES students’ experience by receiving instruction infused with direct application of the sport fields. The HSES Faculty interact with Student Athletes on a daily basis and help with advising, counseling and other areas to help make their college experience successful.
